What hoomins do it’s not always something that has been approved by meowself…to be clear!

Here we are again and another week of non existent in this country at least summer has just passed and things are really as they were last week and the week before and the one before that, etc, etc....you know since hoomins decided to be like us, indoors only cats and to change the natural order of things…for ever!

But you know meowself, I’m not the one to complain, I have got used to and adapted to this new life now of having the hoomins permanently around and it doesn’t bother me anymore..at all! On the contrary and as I’ve said it before hoomins being around 24 hours a day (more or less) are quite useful to have and they can of course always entertain you when you want them to do so (even if they think that they don’t want to). So there would be no more complains about my hoomins from meowself....well at least for the time being....because and after all nobody is purrfect....except from meowself of course (and Tolkien is not included either as he is too much of a hard effort most of the times anymeows....by the way you can still read about our life at home and of course all about the good times we’ve used to have at home in the good old days before March when hoomins behaved like hoomins and they’ve used to go outside often...in the hoomins comic Life with Ozzy.. and Tolkien available on Amazon)

But of course there are some things that I feel that I need to clear up so I’m not being misunderstood and my actions are misinterpreted… For example I might have mentioned a few times already about hoomins and their new obsession of doing exercising and looking so very silly in these yoga poses they are trying. I might have also mentioned that sometimes I like helping the hoomins when they are doing exercising....but and to make it very clear here I do not really approve of exercising in general whether it is hoomins or cats that are doing the exercising thing. Yes and I might be having a bit of fun with the hoomins when they are ‘working out’....you know when I’m actually helping them so they are doing all that bending and stretching correctly by simply sitting on them or passing under when they are bending to check things out....and most definitely not trying to trip them over or anything mean like that...I mean if they do accidentally trip over it’s not really because of my doing, not my fault at all....Those hoomins should learn to keep their balance at all times…whatever the obstacle. And of course it’s not that funny when they do lose their balance and then they fall down....well OK maybe a little bit funny! Nevertheless I most definitely do not approve of any form of exercising and in my opinion the hoomins are being and looking very silly when they are doing so and whatever happens to them it’s entirely their fault. You see no harm ever comes from snoozing and eating in my opinion....doing exercising on the other hand is very dangerous...someone might hurt themselves and it most definitely won’t be meowself....hoomins! So now they have been warned and any accidents or other future falls are their own doing...

Another thing that I would like to clear now is the wrong accusation from the hoomins, naturally, about meowself and Tolkien playing rough at night time and destroying the house in the process with our little chasing game....I mean this is just totally nonsense....unfound accusations with no real evidence to prove it. I mean how is it possible that ourselves, two innocent small cats (one of which is very cute indeed….meowself of course not Tolkien) can actually cause serious damages to the house? Not possible....A little running around the house never has harmed anyone....besides this is how us, cats, are doing our exercising…hoomins...We are not anything like rhinos during a stampede....and I have no idea what Jumanji is anymeows.

Also and finally I don’t believe that I snore either....or that my snoring is so loud that I’m freaking out Tolkien and the hoomins can’t even hear the telly....such an accusation and exaggeration I say....Hoomins can be so cruel sometimes....mocking an innocent cat like meowself....really!

How to have fun with the hoomins...when they are around all the time

Here I’m again...helping hoomin with yoga and having a bit of fun meowself!

Here we are again, another week has just passed...and it is still summer…

apparently, well the weather in this country doesn’t seem to know it...anymeows as it hasn’t got any warmer yet!

So and yes my hoomins are still at home....they hardly ever leave or seem to want to leave the house anymore and I’m finally totally OK with it, I have made my peace with the idea that the hoomins are here to stay....

After all I do prefer them to be at home all the time instead of going outside like those other hoomins out there or as how they’ve used to do before because and let’s admit it, hoomins have many uses around the house after all.

As I’ve mentioned it before with hoomins around you never have to worry about finding your bowls empty anymore or and very importantly finding yourself being bored at home on your own and then try to convince Tolkien to entertain you (By the way you you can still read about our life at home and of course all about the good times we’ve used to have at home in the good old days before March when hoomins behaved like hoomins and they’ve used to go outside often...in the hoomins comic Life with Ozzy.. and Tolkien available on Amazon)

Yeap having the hoomins around means that they can always entertain me any time of the day I want them to (the night I prefer to sleep really so I won’t usually bother them)...whether they like it or not....well they don’t have much of a choice on the matter after all as they are far too weak to try to resist me (and I’m far too cute not to be acknowledged by the hoomins!).

But I do admit it that they are certain things that hoomins are doing now that they are at home always which things they’ve never used to do before and which things are very entertaining like when they are trying to do their exercising for example! They are really so funny my hoomins when they are trying all these weird yoga positions and of course they are then also become totally available to use (the hoomins I mean of course). You known you can do anything you like at that time as the hoomins can’t really react or they are able to  do anything…you know like walking under when they are bending down or walk or sit on top of them when they are lying down and of course to also try and trip them over and even (and this is my best one yet) tickle them with my tail when they can’t use their hands while they are trying to balance...They are so funny in all their attempts to do their exercises...Sometimes you wonder and want to know why the hoomins put themselves in so much trouble to do this yoga thing so they can look so silly…Why going into all this trouble instead of doing what we, cats, do....nothing, just snoozing and napping between meals....that’s more than sufficient for us....and everybody else!

Tolkien here not so sure and brave about that robot vacuum yet...he is just watching!

But of course and despite what you might think I’m not really that selfish....I’m only having a bit of fun with the hoomins and I’m always making sure that no harm would come to them when they are doing their hoomin yoga.....actually and If you think about it I’m actually helping them by making sure that they are doing those exercises and animal poses correctly...you know that they bend and stretch the right way.....

Of course having fun with the hoomins when they are exercising is one of the many ways that I entertain meowself with the hoomins at home....I often like playing with them other fun games too like the little treasure hunt game I have invented after I have been to the litter tray. You know to find the accidentally left on the carpet poolet and to avoid stepping on it and then making a mess on the rest of the house....This is definitely one of my favourite games to play with the hoomins and I’m pretty sure that the hoomins are enjoying playing it too (hoomins they need to find it before the robot vacuum does of course!).

I must also admit that I do enjoy playing with Tolkien in some occasions and he is quite good for a little chasing around the house especially late at night even with the hoomins still around and fully awake but I don’t accept the accusation that I provoke Tolkien and that I’m a bad example to him or that we are a destructive force when playing and  that I make those silly froop froop noises that hoomins say that I do...I don’t make any kind of noises to be clear....I don’t even meow, it’s all Tolkien who makes any kind of noise....

By the way hoomin it wasn’t meowself who was scratching at the door earlier and wanted to get it....it was Tolkien of course!

The guide of how to be a helpful cat....to hoomins!

Tolkien sometimes can be a bit of a headache with his silly hiding habits....

Well here we are again another week has just passed, the weather hasn’t got any better, hoomins are still indoors permanently that pesky squirrel is back on the feeder again along with his mate that really fat wood pigeon and now it seems I’ve seen everything....cats walking outside on a leash!

I guess someone might call it a normal week, you know having the hoomins at home all the time, the weather outside being rather bad for summer, the squirrel visiting in the morning the bird feeder and eating all the poor birdies food and also having that very annoying fat wood pigeon which he seems to be getting bigger as each day passes by making loud noises as he tries to fit in feeder…just normal every day events!

 And it would have been a normal week if I didn’t start seeing stranger things outside as well! You see I know that there are two other rather handsome black and white cats living next door but what I didn’t know was the fact that they are going outside for walkies like doggies do...on a leash! 

Why? I’ve asked! How humiliating! ....So unnecessary in my opinion. I don’t want meowself to go outside at all! Whether it is on a leash or being carried on a basket....it’s not very nice outside in my opinion (and Tolkien’s of course)....it is rather noisy, cold and smelly and there are far too many hoomins out there as well now along with what ever else is being let loose outside. Nope I like staying indoors with my hoomins and....Tolkien of course....thank you very much!

Yeap I prefer staying indoors and be useful to the hoomins as much as I can instead. You see meowself and Tolkien have decided that our hoomins really need our help....Not only with the house chores....although hoomins seem to have a lot of gadgets these days to help them do a lot of the housework and that newest robot cleaner they’ve got it is a bit annoying....it seems to go everywhere and you can’t really escape it....hmmm.

Yeap...here he is again believing that he is invisible when he is not even well hidden....silly Tolkien!

But anymeows Tolkien and meowself are still trying to he helpful around the house and we try to help the hoomins anyway we can....especially when they are trying to do their daily exercises!

I know at first I might have been totally against it....you know it is against my nature as a cat to like any form of exercising ( purrsonally I prefer to rest and have long naps instead) but if this is what the hoomins want to do then I’m all for it....I’d help them meowself and Tolkien as much as we can....

So when hoomins are doing their exercises we are now always there to help them do all these funny poses they are supposed to do....you know providing actual assistance like biting the hands or feet so they can stretch right, walking under them when they are bending so they are doing it again right, sitting on them, walking on their backs and stomach when they are on the floor and even doing some exercises meowselves like cat leg stretching for more support....Anything we can do to help!

I must admit though that Tolkien is not much of a help as he gets easily bored and then he goes back on the chair to snooze before the hoomins have finished....but I’d always stay till the end to make sure that they do every single exercise correct. You are most welcome  hoomins! Well my hoomins are not really very good with that exercising thing to be honest and they often do things the wrong way so they need my help to correct themselves….this is why I’m here for hoomins!

Now and to make things clear…when it comes to the incident with the blinds....it was all Tolkien’s doing of course....I have nothing to do with pulling the blinds while the hoomins were exercising and I didn’t want to embarrass them in anyway.....I’m always trying to help! Hoomins need their exercising....and meowself some extra treats for being so helpful of course! But Tolkien is still young and doesn’t always understand….he he…it was funny though to see the quick reaction from the hoomins when they suddenly realised that the blinds had been pulled and that they could be seen from outside….so funny! If only I had their camera!

Anymeows better go now....time to check on hoomins and food bowls!

New toys and bananas with new boxes...what hoomins are up to now?

Here I am with my new banana...I’m trying to keep it away from Tolkien you see1

Here we are again, another week has just passed and having the hoomins at home day and night it has now become the new norm. At least they seem to have adapted quite well to the life indoors and now things seem to have gone into some kind of routine, sort of....but you already know of course that us cats like routines in general and we are not big fans of any changes....changes are not good really for mental and physical reasons!

But of course and rather unfortunately hoomins don’t think the same as they always seem to like changing things or at least replacing old things with new ones, you know newest versions....especially when it comes to their gadgets. 

So now that my hoomins are at home all the time they have become a bit more obsessed (then usual of course) with bringing home new gadgets....because they say they can make life easier....hmmm! Not really….I think that my hoomins are probably bored and they try to find new ways to keep themselves entertained with new things....a piece of string in my opinion would do the trick instead....hours of fun for the hoomins and meowself....and Tolkien of course! No need for any new gadget to invade our home I say!

So now we have at home a gadget for almost everything and some of these gadgets are rather annoying and in particular those that they are moving around the house for example and they supposedly are doing useful things like cleaning our mess....which is of course a lie....meowself and Tolkien are not in any way responsible for any mess at home....it’s all the hoomins, they have become very messy and sloppy now that they are at home all the time!

Strange cat is Tolkien...here is chomping paper again! 

But of course it wouldn’t have been that bad if hoomins were just buying toys for themselves only and kept us out of this new technology trend  that seems to be invading our home....you know toys that stay out of our own way....But no because hoomins are hoomins and they can’t help themselves they’d then try to inflict their own obsession to us as well. So now we are also getting new toys that they are not only moving around but also it seems they are trying to chase us around the house instead of us chasing them.....Well sort of…I mean I don’t know if this is actually a hoomin plotting or something so to get meowself and Tolkien on to exercising and doing cat yoga or something but this new robot toy hoomins got us is really mean....it’s evil!

I mean it has this nice and lovely feather and when you try to get it suddenly starts moving around and runs away and when you try to catch it then it’d start flashing different colours and then it would turn and it’d start chasing you instead....I mean that evil robot is actually stalking you....then it would stop suddenly and it would play dead for a while. It won’t  move or make any noise and when you’d try to get closer it’d then start moving again and you won’t know whether to chase it or not....Actually that silly annoying robot thing is very good in avoiding obstacles in its way like the hoomins cleaning gadget when it’s lose in the house.....It is a very strange toy and meowself and Tolkien haven’t still figured out how to get to that lovely feather it’s carrying….but we will in the end of course. Not toy robot can outsmart meowself….Tolkien not so much though!

Well at least the box it came…was nice as it was a very good size to get in but unfortunately I didn’t have the opportunity to check it thoroughly  as Tolkien started chewing it and now it’s in many pieces on the carpet! Yes Tolkien of course....who keeps getting stranger and stranger as each day passes by....He likes stranger things like chewing things and in particular boxes and paper so hoomins now have to always keep an eye on him at all times....You don’t know what he might start chomping next....

But I guess I shouldn’t be complaining too much really....hoomins are trying their best to keep us entertained especially now that they are at home....They did get me my new banana as the older one got a bit ...well you know was a bit over used (I blame Tolkien of course with his kitten teeth...).

To be honest though I don’t really know why I like bananas so much....but there is something about them....maybe it’s the shape or the catnip inside....who knows...They are my favourite nevertheless and hoomins always make sure that I have a new banana when I get bored with the old one but of course now with Tolkien around I don’t get to spend too much time with it as I’ve used to before....Again blame Tolkien for wanting everything and being such a  strange cat as well!

Anymeows better go now as everything it is rather quiet and Tolkien has finally left my banana alone!
